2012: The Year of New Beginnings

I'm anticipating that this year, 2012, will be filled with abundant love, exciting developments, and prosperity. Unlike what many in the media and so many who believe 2012 is the year of destruction, I see it as the year of new beginnings and new opportunities. I'm taking the advice of Teacher Ophelius and keeping a positive outlook this year and leveraging these new "intensified manifestations of reality." I have decided that as a "New Year's Resolution," that I would double my efforts at self-mastery and become "conscious of my consciousness," and the driving factor is trying to be aware, as much as possible while living in the world, of the presence of my Indwelling Spirit-there's nothing more powerful, more true, beautiful, or good than to be aware of this fragment of the Creator living inside you. "Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven, and all else shall be added unto you."

In keeping with this spirit of optimism, my three teenage sons and I are listening to the Master Key System (audio) and working through and discussing each lesson. It is so delightful to see the light bulbs going off in their young minds and marveling at the "ah-ha" knowledge that is being taught in these lessons. They find it fascinating how these truths and laws of the universe are mostly unknown to people and how exciting it is that they know these "secrets" that really demonstrate how powerful the human mind is and how the universe was designed to respond to our co-creative power of thought and will. If any of you are interested in learning the MKS, it is in the public domain and is free on the Internet. You can find it here: The Master Key System

This is the year of possibilities. There are so many things in the heavens and on earth that we do not know or understand that it serves us to remain open to all possibilities, and so while remaining open to all possibilities, I am also exercising the discernment power of the Spirit of Truth to help me navigate the waters of the unknown. By keeping with this attitude of openness, I allow the universe to teach me new things and new truths that would have been closed to me because of a narrower viewpoint. And with this broader perspective of new truth and knowledge comes a greater degree of acceptance for those who have a narrow view of life, for I can observe their darkened estate without reacting or getting pulled into the drama of their pride and prejudice, while at the same time being compassionate and forgiving-"forgive them Father, for they know not what they do." Jesus of Nazareth.

We are all a work in progress, all on different paths, all searching for something. This year I plan on pulling that "pie out of the sky" and seeing it more clearly, defining it, viewing it with the mind's eye, and making it manifest in my life. Too many years have I kept these lofty ideas a float in the ether thinking it would just come to me when the timing was right. I now realize that there is more to it than that, and to actually see these things and ideas take shape, I have to use my mind, concentrated thought, persistence, and volition to bring it into my reality. All that I am today, the spiritual gifts I have, and this place of service I hold, are the result of true faith, and deep desire. There are no limits that I can see.

What will you bring into reality this year? I invite everyone to participate in this discussion and please leave your comments. We can all learn from each other, so please share.

Peace and blessings to you,

Chris Maurus
